William Grace Frost

In my 7+ decades of life I’ve enjoyed many successes sprinkled with a good dose of failures which have sufficiently gifted me with both wisdom and humility.

I started out in an alcoholic family system and learned how to drink in my teens as a way to facilitate superficial relationships. I learned that emotions weren’t to be trusted, expressed, or for that matter, even acknowledged as being real.

And, I learned to either lie or hide my truth in order to please people and not rock the boat.

After years of self-help, therapy, recovery, education and professional practice, I have come to understand that in order to enjoy true intimacy, have fulfilling relationships and live healthy productive lives at home and work, men need to Get Real

Men need to Get Real by learning how to:

·      take good care of our bodies, minds and spirits

·      connect honestly with others by sharing our true feelings

·      act in integrity with our agreements

·      prioritize our time based on values rather than blindly accepting antiquated blueprints of manliness and success

I believe in the power of transformation, that no one is beyond help and that any man can make the choice to live the life of his dreams.

Why I Do This Work

People sometimes wonder why, at my age, I still choose to work.
Well, it’s simple… I’m still passionate about supporting men, who like myself, bought into society’s delusional story of what it means to be a man and to be successful.
Every day I see men who have been indoctrinated from a very early age to numb out their feelings, hide their inadequacies, cover up their mistakes and act tough.
Consequently, as adults, they’re lonely and lost, suffering from having mostly inauthentic and disconnected relationships with very few communication skills to help them cope and thrive.
I also have 5 grown sons and a young grandson. I want better for them. I want my offspring, and every man in my sphere of influence, to know the infinite and amazing possibilities born of vulnerability, authenticity and integrity.
And, I want you to know that you are creative, resourceful and whole. That you are lovable just the way you are; that you’re worthy of love; and that you’re capable of loving yourself and others.
With the right mindset, tools and practice, you can live the life of your dreams,
and I’m passionate that you have the freedom to choose that!

“Focusing on changing behavior rarely works.

If you want to change an undesirable behavior you have to dive beneath the surface issues to find, and transform,

the unconscious negative beliefs you have about yourself.”

Group Facilitation

In my professional life, I’ve gone from being a struggling grad student getting by on PB&J and ramen noodles, to being a champion professional soccer player, a successful restaurant manager, the co-owner of an 8-million-dollar consulting company and a highly sought-after men’s coach and mentor.
I bring to the party many years of individual and group facilitation, innovation training and team-building experience with Fortune 500 marketing teams and organizations. As Co-Owner and Senior Partner at Ideas to Go, Inc. I was for many years the firm’s premier process innovation designer and rainmaker.
Currently, I focus most of my process expertise on facilitating men’s health, integrity and mindset transformation, and on triple bottom line innovation to sustain a viable planet.

Speaking

My speaking programs are highly interactive and engaging from start to finish, always leading my audiences to a positive mindset and inspired action.
I'm a frequent podcast guest and the creator of The Men's Freedom Formula, a step-by-step process that helps men uncover and transform the hidden negative self-beliefs that keep them from living the quality lives they truly long for, yet have found unattainable, I infuse all my talks with similar content. I also offer The Men's Freedom formula as an online video course.
My talks are particularly well suited for young professionals, university and college men, service clubs and men's organizations of all kinds. Learn more here.

Giving Back

I believe that in the natural cycle of life that once we’ve gained mastery and wisdom, we’re intended to give away as much as we can to those coming up behind us. I have been gifted with much grace and prosperity, and it is in deep gratitude that I give back to those in need.
Among the causes and groups I support with my volunteer time, expertise or funds are: CommunityMatters.org, a small non-profit that trains students how to safely and effectively intervene when they see or hear bullying taking place; The Mankind Project, a 60,000-strong, international organization whose mission is to change the world for the better, one man at a time; and Boys2Men, a nationwide group that supports young men in finding their way to healthy manhood.

On a Personal Note

I can be found in my spare time beach-combing along the wild and scenic shores of Northern California's Mendocino Coast with my wife, Quiana, and our three darling pups. I love to putz in the garden because beauty is one of my most cherished values, and in my incarnation as a landscape architect, I created nearly 100 meditation labyrinths, both permanent and for special occasions. To this day, I often use labyrinths in my own personal meditation practice, as well as in coaching sessions.
I've been known to completely lose myself painting abstract expressionist vignettes with watercolor crayons (the ocean is my muse) and I have a great collection of colored sea glass, unique pebbles and driftwood, all of which will “some day” be turned into art.
Having been a professional soccer player, I love cheering on my favorite teams, especially the US Women’s and Men’s National Teams. I love playing Pickleball and Frisbee Golf, but most of all, I love playing the best role of my life....Grampa”.
